JAPAN,UNITED STATES : KUBOTA to construct $73 million Jackson facility in 2012

Japan-based Kubota Corp., manufacturer of tractors and farm equipment, and has subsidiaries and affiliates across the globe, announced that it is planning to build a $73 million manufacturing facility in Northeast Georgia, which is expected to generate 200 jobs.
According to Gov. Nathan Deal, the company will establish the plant on the same 88 acre site in Jefferson as an existing Kubota facility. The construction of the plant is etimated to commence in early 2012.
The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development stated that the state agency has granted incumbent worker training funds of $12,916 to Farley\'s & Sathers Candy Co., $14,254 to Kordosa Global, $23,240 to Master Machine Inc. and $3,650 to J.M. Hanner Construction Co.
Gov. Bill Haslam said, “This kind of training grant not only helps educate workers, but also provides incentive to employers looking to relocate or expand in Tennessee.”
