UNITED STATES : SAIC gets $66 million deal from Hawaii Public Utilities Commission

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) obtained $66 million deal from Hawaii Public Utilities Commission (PUC).

With this deal, SAIC will continue to act as Program Administrator for Hawaii Energy Efficiency Program. This 2-year deal also has an option of a 3-year extension. The company will continue to offer program operations, outreach, market evaluation, general administration, information technology and transformational infrastructure development initiatives. The services are anticipated to save Hawaii $320 million in utility costs.

JT Grumski, SVP and Business Unit GM of SAIC, said, \"SAIC is proud to expand our services to meet Hawaii\'s aggressive efficiency goals with our proven efficiency program management techniques. The contract enables SAIC to continue to develop energy efficiency infrastructure initiatives in Hawaii and help improve energy security, increase economic development, and decrease dependence on foreign oil.\"
