INDIA,UNITED KINGDOM : BAE Systems gets Ł59 million deal from IAF for Hawk training aircraft operations

BAE Systems obtained Ł59 million deal from Indian Air Force (IAF) and Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. (HAL).

As per this new deal, BAE Systems will be responsible to offer spares and ground support equipment to support Hawk training aircraft operations. Hawk is produced in India under license by Hindustan Aeronautics with materials, parts and support services offered by BAE Systems. With this, BAE Systems has obtained over Ł600 million deals related to Hawk.

\"The Indian Air Force has one of the largest fleets of Hawks anywhere in the world, and this contract is vital to ensure the continued availability of the fleet. This new order strengthens the robust production platform established by our partner HAL for the aircraft, which remains the benchmark advanced jet trainer in service today,\" said Guy Griffiths, Group Managing Director (International) of BAE Systems.
