AUSTRALIA :Leighton receives $425 million in contracts

Leighton Contractors announced that it has secured a total of $425 million in contract extensions.
The company stated that one of its subsidiary, Thiess has received $185 million one-year extension to a contract to operate the Meandu coal mine that provides Stanwell Corporation\'s Tarong and Tarong North power stations in Queensland.
On the other hand, its wholly-owned subsidiary HWE Mining has obtained $240 million 12-month extension of a contract with OneSteel Manufacturing to provide mining services at the South Middleback Ranges iron ore operations in South Australia.
