ITALY : Finmeccanica: new orders valued up to EUR 109 million

Finmeccanica won new orders valued up to about EUR 109 million through its companies DRS Technologies, Ansaldo STS, Alenia Aeronautica and Oto Melara.
DRS Technologies, Inc., has been awarded by the U.S. Army a USD 24.5 million contract to provide engineering services and support activities for the Improved Bradley Acquisition Subsystem (IBAS). In addition to this order, the company received a contract valued at up to USD 22.8 million from TACOM Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC), Warren, MI, to provide the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS) with reset services for M1200 Armored Knight Systems for use by the U.S. Army Field Artillery units.
Ansaldo STS, through its subsidiary in France, has been awarded a EUR 46.7 million contract by INEO (GDF SUEZ Group) and INEXIA (Systra Group) to provide signalling systems and services on the new high speed line connecting Tours and Bordeaux, South West of France.
Alenia Aeronautica and the Bulgarian Defence Ministry signed a framework agreement for the supply of logistic support services to the C-27J fleet of the Bulgarian Air Force. Within the ten year agreement, a first contract has been signed for the supply of logistic support services, for a five-year
period, worth totally EUR 25 million.
Oto Melara signed a contract valued USD 3 million with the Mexican Navy for the supply of 5 turrets Hitrole N 12.7 and the related logistic support, to be delivered within the year 2012.
