INDIA : Thinksoft gets Rs. 50 million contract from RBI

Thinksoft Global Services Ltd. (Thinksoft), a leading financial software testing company, obtained a Rs. 50 million contract from Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
As per this contract, Thinksoft will be responsible to provide a complete end-to-end User Acceptance Testing with full project management task such as Test Strategy, Test Planning and Test Execution. The company will also provide an Automated Regression Test Pack for RBI with its in-house ARTEMIS test automation framework. ARTEMIS is mainly developed for use by financial services applications and is both platform and application agnostic. Thinksoft has frequently implemented this framework to considerably save test execution effort during testing period.
According to Asvini Kumar, Chairman and MD of Thinksoft, the testing cycles are likely to be completed in 1 year.
Kumar said, “It gives us a sense of pride at having been selected for this important assignment by the country’s Central Bank, through a very transparent, rigorous and stringent selection process in a very competitive landscape. We believe this is an affirmation of our “gold standard “domain focused testing methodology, test processes and our track record in the BFSI sector. It demonstrates that RBI is very serious about getting the end state quality right and we will work hard and collaborate with RBI in making this project a resounding success.”
RBI commissioned consulting company KPMG, to choose Independent Testing vendor. The bank is deploying a centralized Core Banking Solution (CBS) at all its regional offices, including all banking and accounting operations, to fulfill its present and future IT needs.
