UNITED KINGDOM : Amors awarded A32.3m waterways contract
Publish Date : 06-Jan-2012
A Ł2.3 million contract has been agreed between AMOR Group, the fast-growing Scottish IT firm and British Waterways Scotland.
As per the deal, the IT firm will have to design a computer system for canal operator, which is parted from its partner firms in England and Wales and requires independent IT infrastructure.
Amor revealed that it will have three-year contract with assistance of Scottish Government data centre at Saughton House in Edinburgh.
Debs Hurst, financial controller at British Waterways Scotland, commented: “With Scottish ministers having decided we shall remain in public ownership as a stand-alone public body, we needed a partner to help us develop a new IT system that is flexible enough to support business growth. We are delighted to partner with Amor.”
