Publish Date : 07-Jan-2012
Norwegian engineering company Aker Solutions has won deal worth $35.04 million to supply a subsea production system for Marathona\'s Boyla project on the Norwegian continental shelf.
The contract includes engineering, procurement, construction and delivery of four subsea trees, four over-trawlable subsea structures and control systems.
Located south-west of the Alvheim field, the Boyla field, will be tied back to the Alvheim FPSO.
According to Aker Subsea executive vice president Alan Brunnen, this contract reflects the company’s fast-track field development capabilities.
Company said that the final deliveries will be due within a year on the project, that is to be divided between four bases of Aker in Norway and its Aberdeen centre.
In Tranby, the engineering and production of the subsea trees will be done, and engineering of the over-trawlable structures will be carried out in Fornebu.
From Aberdeen the subsea control systems will be supplied and installation and execution will be carried out at Aagotnes.
