JAPAN : Samsung Heavy Industries gets US $2.26 billion contract from Inpex

Samsung Heavy Industries Co. obtained nearly US $2.26 billion contract from Inpex Corporation of Japan, to construct an offshore facility.
As per this contract, Samsung Heavy will be responsible to build the offshore gas processing facility by the end of 2015. Both Inpex and Samsung Heavy are scheduled to officially ink the contract this month.
\"The value of the order is expected to reach up to KRW 3 trillion when a deal to build related facilities is taken into consideration,\" said Samsung Heavy.
According to Samsung Heavy, this facility, which will be 110 meters wide and high, is likely to be world\'s biggest offshore plant after the construction is completed.
