INDIA : KEC International secures Rs371 crore in two orders

KEC International, a billion dollar global infrastructure EPC major company, announced that it has received Rs371 crore in two contracts which include building terminal lines in India.The contracts are for the delivery and building of transmission lines in the power sector in Gujarat and West Bengal.
One of the order which amounts upto Rs258 crore has been provided by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd and deals in the construction of a 400 kV double circuit transmission line which will start from Bhachau (Kutch district) and extend upto Essar thermal power station in Gujarat. The time allotted for completion of this project is 26 months.
Haldia Energy, a subsidiary of CESC Ltd Ltd provided the second order which is prized at Rs113 crore deals in delivery and construction of 400 kV double circuit transmission line which starts at Haldia thermal power plant and extends upto Subhash Gram which also intersects the Ganga river at Kolkata. The time period for completion of this project is 18 months.
