Publish Date : 25-Jan-2012

Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau, Germany based leader in tunneling, obtained €420 million waste water pipeline deal.

This deal is for the construction of a 35km underground waste water pipeline. The project comes under a large-scale upgrade of the waste water system of Emschergenossenschaft water management association. The project covers the construction of a pipeline heading west from Dortmund, which will transport wastewater to a water purification plant near Bottrop.

The underground pipeline will be constructed in the form of a tunnel. It will differ in diameter from 1.6 to 2.8m and will operate parallel to River Emscher. The work is scheduled to begin from next spring and is likely to be completed in 5-year.
