UNITED STATES : LOCKHEED MARTIN bags $15 million in two AIR FORCE contracts

Lockheed Martin Corp. Has bagged two contracts from the Air Force.
The contracts worth $15 million is for providing protective systems and emergency warning equipment for aircraft.
According to the Defense Department, the contracts were awarded by the Aeronautical Systems Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
One contract is for infrared countermeasure systems which can jam the electronic seeking systems of incoming missiles. This deal is worth around $8 million was awarded to Lockheed Martin in Marietta, Ga.
Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, Texas, has secured the second contract worth $7 million for installing sensors and associated hardware to measure oxygen concentration and pressure in an aircraft. This equipment provides warning to a pilot if there is a drop in oxygen pressure below a particular level.
