GERMANY : T-Systems inks €250 million deal with Old Mutual

T-Systems, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom AG, has inked a 2.58 billion South-African Rand (€250 million) deal with Old Mutual PLC.
Under this deal, T-Systems will join forces with Old Mutual, to extend their existing partnership through 2019. The new contract replaces T-Systems\' existing ROSA contract with Old Mutual, originally inked in 2008. The new deal covers the delivery of IT support services to Old Mutual and Mutual & Federal.
According to Deutsche Telekom, this mutually beneficial partnership will establish processes to decrease Old Mutual\'s operating expenses over 7-year.
\"This partnership will accelerate Old Mutual\'s ability to deliver on its commitment to improving customer service, and increasing IT operational efficiency,\" said Richard Boynett, CIO of Old Mutual Long-Term Savings IT.
