Monadelphous wins agreement worth $180 million for the building of water and transmission pipeline to Rio Tinto and Chevron.
The Rio deal includes the building and setting up of potable water supply system with a view to transport 10 gigalitres per year from Bungaroo Valley to the West Pilbara Supply Scheme at Millstream.
The project comprises of a bore field which is at a distance of 15kms from collector main, a transfer pump station and a transfer pipeline of 87kms.
The research and building of CO2 injection pipeline and well sites on the Gorgon LNG project on Barrow Island are also the part of the agreement.
Setting up and researching issues related to the building up of 7kms of underground pipeline, five well sites and associated facilities are also included.
The project is estimated to complete in the first quarter of the 2013.
This is the third pipeline agreement held achieved by the company on the Gorgon project.
Due to the new agreements the worth of new work increased more than $1.5 billion in 2012.
