UNITED STATES : AECOM secures contract worth $38∙8 million

AECOM receives the deal for the construction of 8.3 km section of the Honolulu Rail Transit elevated metro project. The deal is worth $38.8million. The construction starts from Aloha Stadium stretches till Middle Street Transit Center and also passes through Honolulu International Airport.
By spring 2013, the designing phase is expected to be complete. Separate tender’s will be there for construction of the current sector and stations which will be built along the route at Pearl Harbor, Honolulu International Airport, Lagoon Drive and Middle Street.
KSF Inc Structural Engineering, Wilson Okamoto Corp, Yogi Kwong Engineers, Geolabs, Group 70 International, PBR Hawaii & Associates, Scientific Consultant Services, and TY Lin Associates are some of the other subcontractors of the project.
The project includes construction of 21 stations will link East Kapolei with Ala Moana Center.
