Publish Date : 08-Feb-2012
Monadelphous Group Ltd. has obtained infrastructure construction deals of worth $180 million in WA.
Managing Director of the leading engineering group, Rob Velletri, said the contracts support his company’s objective of sustainable growth through the continued expansion of their infrastructure business.
“They build on our long term relationships with blue chip customers,” he said.
The company has obtained first deal for Rio Tinto’s Coastal Waters Project at Bungaroo Valley in Pilbara. It includes the construction and installation of a 10 gigalitre per annum potable water system from Bungaroo Valley to West Pilbara Supply Scheme at Millstream. The work is likely to start in Q1 of 2012 and the water is expected to flow by June 2013.
Monadelphous Group obtained second deal from Chevron Australia, to prepare and build a CO2 injection pipeline and well sites on Gorgon Project at Barrow Island. KT Pty Ltd., the transmission pipelines business of Monadelphous, obtained this deal. It includes the installation and pre-commissioning of seven kilometres of underground pipeline and five well sites. The work will start immediately and is expected to be finished by March 2013.
