AZERBAIJAN : SOCAR plans to completely build a new offshore platform in 2012 in the Caspian Sea

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has announced its plans to completely build a new offshore platform in the shallow portion of the Guneshli field by the close of this year.
The work which is being conducted by Deepwater SOCAR, has Neftegazstroy is its chief contractor.
Six modules have been developed on the Deepwater plant, and two on the Neftegazstroy construction and assembly platform. Using the platform, the drilling of four oil and eight gas wells along with their installation will be done at a depth of 140-150 meters.
