Publish Date : 07-Mar-2012
A subsidiary of the Suzlon Group, Seforge, has announced a major purchase deal with a leading wind turbine producer for supply of machined tower flanges, used for wind towers over a three-year period.
The deal is worth around Rs.367 crore and includes supply of flanges for wind turbine towers for projects in India as well as international markets.
Seforge manages a forging facility with capacity to manufacture seamless forged rings with maximum diameter of 5.2 metres, having an annual capacity of 40,000-60,000 rings at Vadodara, Gujarat.
During the last few months, three long-term agreements were signed which will together consume about 40 per cent of Seforge\'s forging capacity for the next three years. Also, it has a foundry division in Coimbatore, which is able to produce large sizes of castings having yearly capacity of 1.20 lakh tonnes of castings.
