Publish Date : 22-Mar-2012
In August, Lincoln Tunnel helix repair work will commence, announced the Port Authority.
From 10:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. on weekdays the eastbound lanes will be closed.
Repaving the road, rehabilitating the concrete deck and fixing the deteriorating steel that underpins the elevated roadway are the major elements included in the $88 million project.
Woodland Park rush-hour passengers can follow their normal routes, added Lincoln Tunnel general manager Steve Napolitano.
Through the tunnel into the New York City, around 92 million people pass mostly through commuter buses.
