United States : ICF International Awarded $15.8 Million Contract With Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Publish Date : 26-Mar-2012

ICF International, a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, has won a re-compete contract with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to conduct the national Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS), the National Youth Tobacco Survey (NYTS), and the School Health Policies and Practices Study (SHPPS). The contract has a value of up to $15.8 million and a term of 70 months.

Under the contract, ICF will work with the CDC to design, conduct, and report health-risk behaviors among middle and high school students; determine the range of broad school and community support for a healthy, safe, and supportive school environment; and measure progress toward achieving national health objectives for programs and policy indicators.

\"We are proud to continue to support the important work of the CDC through implementation of surveillance systems such as the YRBS, NYTS, and SHPPS, which support its mission to monitor adolescent health risk behavior, as well as policies and practices that affect students\' learning environment,\" said Rocco Russo, vice president for ICF International. \"These studies will provide a multi-dimensional perspective of the interrelated factors affecting student health and coordinated school health programs.\"
