Dow Chemical announced that it is planning to build a new Research and Development Center in China with an investment of $500 million.
The new plant will be able to produce new technologies for Asia Pacific markets.
“Dow Chemical has decided to invest more than $500 million in the division’s R&D, accounting for about one-third of its $1.7 billion. These new technologies will be a strong stimulus to the growth of the division’s sales in Asia. Our R&D center in Shanghai has provided strong support for Dow Chemical’s business expansion in China and Asia,” said Jerome Peribere, Dow Chemical executive vice president.
