At a meeting in New Delhi between Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission, and the Chief Minister D. V. Sadananda Gowda, an annual plan outlay of Rs.42,030 crore for the year 2012-13 for the Indian state of Karnataka has been finalised.
Ahluwalia has stated that the plan will offer incentive for the effective management of water.
According to him, the efficient use of water has to be urgently improved.
