A Pre-Submittal Meeting will be held August 30, 2018, in Conference Room 4G4 at 9:30 a.m., Webb Building, 201 West Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO 80202. Interested firms are strongly encouraged to attend. Proposers are responsible for any information conveyed at this meeting.
General Statement of Work: The City and County of Denver Public Works Department is seeking a Mechanical Contractor to provide turn-key on-call services that include preconstruction, in-house design/engineering, and construction services as needed for deferred maintenance projects in multiple municipal buildings. Projects include equipment replacement and system improvements for HVAC, steam, and plumbing systems. The City anticipates awarding multiple work orders to one mechanical contractor.
Prequalification Requirements: Each prime mechanical contractor must be prequalified in category 2C Mechanical at the $6,000,000.00 monetary level in accordance with the Citys Rules and Regulations Governing Prequalification of Contractors. Each contractor must have submitted a prequalification application a minimum of ten (10) calendar days prior to the bid opening date. Applications must be submitted to the Department of Public Works, Prequalification Section, 201 W. Colfax Ave., Department 614, Denver, CO 80202. M/WBE Participation: The Project goal of 14% for Minority and Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Participation has been set for the work identified in this RFP and must be met with certified participants as set forth in Section 28-60(b). Certain contracts let by means of a competitive process require proposers to address the project goal by means of a compliance plan, as authorized by the Director. The successful proposer must be prepared to submit a Compliance Plan upon Notice of Selection, as a component of contract negotiations and award.
General: As the Citys best interests may appear, the Executive Director of Public Works reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, proposals.
