Within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum held in Vladivostok, the Far Eastern Fund for High Technologies (DPVT), established by the FRDF, RUSNANO and RVC, has concluded a number of agreements with companies that are developing innovative innovative solutions, the total investment of the fund in which may amount to 350 million rubles.
In particular, DPVT will support companies that have developed unique hydrogen fuel cells for drones and robotic equipment, an intelligent modular industrial safety system, a VR training platform, an autonomous power supply system that allows gas to be converted from main gas pipelines into thermal and electrical energy.
"The fund invests in innovative projects that allow to overcome specific problems of the Far East and stimulate the industrial development of the macroregion. We are confident that the promising technologies with the support of the Fund will become a reliable support for business in matters of energy supply, mobility and training of personnel. I hope that our investments will make a significant contribution to the transformation of the Russian Far East into a technologically advanced, competitive macro-region, "said Anatoly Chubais, Chairman of the Management Board of RUSNANO.
"In the Far East, there are huge opportunities for implementing breakthrough innovation projects. Many talented people live here, many large enterprises are working, demanding high-tech products and services - in agriculture, fishing industry, oil and gas, mining and other industries. State support for the introduction of effective innovation will increase the competitiveness of the Far Eastern economy, "said Alexei Chekunkov, General Director of the Far Eastern Development Fund.
"The Far Eastern High Technology Fund was announced at the WEF a year ago. Within a short period of time, the fund has moved to the active stage of investment and successfully forms the projects' pipeline. It is important to note that the priority of the investment strategy of the fund are projects corresponding to the STI markets. We are talking about unmanned vehicles, neurotechnologies, personalized medicine, new production technologies, and intelligent energy. This is the fifth fund in the RVC portfolio, whose mandate is focused on STI. Thus, we expect to expand the range of venture support instruments for the projects of the National Technological Initiative, "said RVC General Director Alexander Povalko.
"The authors of the first innovations supported by the Foundation offer non-standard and effective solutions to the pressing problems faced by industrial enterprises operating in the Far East. It is important that the initiators themselves were able to move from the idea to the stage of practical implementation of innovations. We see our mission in the further promotion and development of promising projects - both through the provision of financial leverage and through active assistance in expanding the market for the sale of products and services involving large businesses and state-owned companies that have production capacities in the Far East, Ruslan Sarkisov, commented on the first deals of the Far Eastern technology fund.
Interest in the projects of DPVT has already been shown by a number of large Russian industrial enterprises. In particular, within the framework of the WEF, the Far Eastern Fund for High Technologies signed a number of cooperation agreements aimed at promoting and practical implementation of promising innovative developments, with the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and large industrial companies implementing projects in the mining sector.
The Far Eastern Fund for High Technologies was established with the participation of the FRD, RUSNANO and RVC in pursuance of the instruction of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on the development of high-tech industries and innovative activities in the Far East.
