Romania : AMCHAM ROMANIA calls for organization of proper consultation process

AmCham Romania has called to organize a proper consultation process, in the context of the recent launch for public consultations of the first two pieces of legislation part of the public procurement legislative framework reform on 22nd July, 2015.
While AmCham notes the efforts of the Romanian Government team to transpose the new European Directive into the national legislation, given the complexity and significance of the proposed topics, and in view of gathering relevant feedback and well grounded suggestions we consider that a consultation period of at least 30 days is required to reach a real, consistent and effective consultation process.
AmCham Romania will continue to offer its members' feedback on the planned legislation and advocate to make the public procurement system reform a major priority in view of enhanced economic development, a sustainable increase of the EU funds absorption and expedited investments in priority projects.
