Ukraine : PRESIDENT Poroshenko inks Law on Government Procurement

Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavicius said, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has inked the law on government procurement.
He said, "Before his birthday [September 26], the president signed the law on government procurement. A difficult and necessary report! A saving of UAH 50 billion a year."
As per the Economic Development and Trade Ministry, the new law assured the starting of availability to all details and government procurement tenders, comprising bids, list of possessors of firms-bidders and the appraisal rules.
The law will make it difficult to intentionally block tenders through the procedure for challenging it in court, and it might be simpler to participant in the tenders just potential purchasers are to present the complete bundle of documents.
The technical improvement done by the law permit Ukraine to get in the Agreement on Government Procurement (GPA) as a scheduled part of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
This might start an availability to the abroad government procurement sector with a volume of $1.7 trillion to Ukrainian firms.
