Slovenia : Adria Airways draws interest from investors over privatization process

Adria Airways has drawn interest from 'several' keen investors over its privatization process.
Since the sale of their combined 91.58% stake in the airline was advertised earlier this year, Slovenia's Sovereign Holding (Slovenski Dravni Holding - SDH), the Bank Asset Management Company (Druba za Upravljanje Terjatev Bank - DUTB), and the PDP restructuring company (Posebna Druzba za Podjetniko) have announced that a number of bids have now been submitted.
While none of the proposed investors has formally been disclosed, EX-YU Aviation News has unofficially indicated that Intro Aviation, the German turnaround expert whose interests include Cityjet (WX, Dublin Int'l) and InterSky (3L, Friedrichshafen), is one of them.
Airline CEO Mark Anzur said that with the submission deadline now passed, the tender process will move forward to the next phase wherein each proposal will be scrutinized. As such, the sale of a controlling stake would be finalized in the coming months.
